Barcelona FC has confirmed the signing of a new Argentine forward, who is close to finalizing his contract.

The transfer news comes just days after Barcelona signed Brazilian winger Thiago Alcantara from Paris Saint-Germain for €75 million in July.

Alcantara was expected to join Barcelona this summer but he has been sidelined with a knee injury and will now be looking towards his future at the club.

Barcelona have already made a number of other signings this summer, including midfielder Luka Modric, who joined from Real Madrid for €112 million, and centre-back Adolfo Fernández, who moved from Juventus for £14 million.

Barcelona also announced the signing of French defender Nuno Sá, who arrived on loan from Real Madrid, for a fee of €18 million.

In addition to these transfers, Barcelona also added a number of young talents to their squad, including midfielder Javi Martínez, who arrived on loan from Bayern Munich, and midfielder David Luiz, who joined from Porto for €19 million.

Barcelona's transfer policy has always been to make quick deals that can help them compete for titles and win trophies, and they are confident that Alcantara and Sá will add value to their team next season.
